Rain, rain go away!

Today was another rainy day in Charlotte. I feel like it’s been months since I’ve seen the sun!  Last summer we had a cold and rainy summer the whole way through, so I was excited this year when we got more warmth and sunshine than rain.  Apparently I spoke too soon because these rainy days have barely let up over the past 3 weeks.

Today was another long day at work setting up classrooms and scrambling with last minute meetings before our first open house of the school year (I will have one more to attend on Thursday). I thought I would run home for a couple of hours to decompress before having to head back that way. I should also mention that I’m anxiously awaiting my order from Netrition.  I ordered a lot of new things this time along with some of my normal PB2 and Joseph’s tortillas (super soft, tasty and low carb!!)  Let’s be honest…. We all know that’s the real reason I came home!

Red cardigan- Target (on sale for $14!!)

George got this as a Christmas present for me 3 or 4 years ago… He picked it out on his own too. I’d say he’s definitely a keeper! 😉

184 days to go…

It’s official. Today was the first day of a new school year.

I’m sad because I can no longer sleep in, go to morning gym classes, eat whenever I want and do whatever I want but I’m looking forward to a fresh start. I love that each new school year feels like a breath of fresh air. I couldn’t imagine having a job that basically never changed on a day-to-day basis. I would get really bored.

Even though today was the first official day back, it was only a teacher workday along with the rest of the days this week. My outfit is a little more casual than my typical work attire, but we also had pictures today that required a wardrobe change so I didn’t really feel bad for dressing down.

Shirt: Victoria’s Secret Pink v-neck

Pants: Forever 21

Bracelets: Express

Diamond necklace: vintage (from my mom for my 21st birthday)

Sadly the shirt and nice, straight hair had to go (rainy weather is no good on picture days!!) quickly after arriving to work so I’m glad I didn’t wear something too cute. Got to save those for the days where they actually matter! 😉

Another day, another real outfit

That’s right, folks.  This marks day 3 in a row where I wore normal clothes.  I just don’t know what’s gotten into me lately!

On a more sad note, I probably shouldn’t be wearing regular clothes considering I have 1 more week left of summer vacation.  😦 This means I only have 1 more week where I can wear my sweaty gym clothes all day and not shower.  Yes, I do get that gross.

Where did the time go?!

Please excuse the disgusting phone case… I have tried cleaning it several times to no avail!

Dress: Forever 21
Silver bangle bracelets: Express
Silver cross necklace: Charming Charlies
Diamond stud earrings (not pictured): Claires

Yesterday was my second visit to the vineyard we went to on Monday, Raffaldini.  This time was extra special though because George decided to come with me.  He loved the breathtaking views of the mountains in the distance, as well as the lush green grass and vines with baby grapes but I’m not convinced that he’s 100% sold on the location.  I would like to consider a few other locations, but I’m having a hard time finding a beautiful place for a reasonable price.

We definitely have some decisions to make in the upcoming months, but luckily we have narrowed it down to a date!  If we go with Raffaldini, it looks like we will be getting married on Oct 17, 2o15.  Exciting!!

To anyone else out there that lives in the Charlotte area- do you know of any locations that might be a great venue for a wedding?  George and I are dead set on getting married outside, so we would consider anywhere that looks elegant without breaking the bank.

Any and all help would be amazing!!
